Syrup of Oblivion

In the aftermath of a pharmaceutical catastrophe that leaves sixty-eight children dead in the fictional nation of Nayapura, a guilt-racked chemist becomes the subject of a clandestine memory-erasure experiment. Reborn with a spotless identity, he unknowingly falls in love with a bereaved mother turned activist, while a celebrated investigator—whose own heroic image is built on a squalid foundation of poverty and betrayal—begins to unravel the truth. As suppressed horrors seep back into consciousness, the lines between predator and prey, forgiveness and justice, violently dissolve.
