Ash of the Dowry

In the industrial settlement of Karwan, a hired gun known only as “The Undertaker” is contracted to kill a factory heir on his wedding night and frame his bride. The job fractures when he encounters a feral orphan boy who shares the brand of the Boran Industrial Syndicate—the same entity that trained him. Pursued by a corporation that writes off human life as “inventory depreciation,” the killer and the boy must navigate a system where a bride’s tears and a worker’s blood carry the same weight as a drop of oil in a balance sheet.
