As the masks go on, the townsfolk abandon their individual guilt to perform ritualistic violence, channeled through an AI deity programmed on the dark web. Vance must trace the lines between digital defamation and bloody pagan revival, realizing that every profile she builds is merely an outline of the void where God’s shadow has fallen away. In a labyrinth of mirrored masks and synthetic voices, the only thing more terrifying than the unified mob is the god that the mob is feeding with their souls.
