Novel Summary
In the rain-soaked metropolis of Veridia, a killer turns classic literature into a blueprint for terror. Detective Elias Voss, haunted by his own past, hunts a mimic who stages each murder as a scene from Poe, Dostoevsky, and Wilde. As the city descends into a grotesque carnival of literary homage, Voss discovers that the killer’s true target is not the victims, but the very idea of justice—and that survival may require abandoning every moral pretension he once held.
