The Wisteria Letters

In the meticulously planned Japanese-Korean enclave of Wisteria Hills, a 2025 civil lawsuit (Reiwa 6 (Wa) 19) over a fatal building collapse has forced its wealthy residents to bury a toxic secret of forged testimonies and bribes. Five years later, anonymous letters bearing a pressed wisteria petal begin to arrive, revealing intimate details of the cover-up that only the true killer could know. As each letter exposes another complicit neighbor, the community turns violently upon itself, proving that every resident is both a victim of the original tragedy and a perpetrator of the ensuing massacre. The novel explores the inexorable erosion of lies by time, ending with a shattered survivor leaving the ruins to forge a new life from the ashes of a scorched identity.
