Bijapur Road Construction Corruption Case

In March 2025, a major corruption scandal erupted in Bijapur, Karnataka, involving the construction of a 95-kilometer national highway stretch. Whistleblower and RTI activist Sunita Rao exposed collusion between senior PWD engineer Anil Deshmukh and contractor Vikram Rathore.
